Looking for persons with a caring heart.
Considered to be the model for quality, compassionate care for people facing a life-limiting illness or injury, hospice care involves a team-oriented approach to expert medical care, pain management, and emotional and spiritual support exprssly tailored to the patient's needs and wishes. Support is provided to the patient's loved ones as well. Volunteers receive training and work with a professional team that specializes in end-of-life care.
- Companionship is provided to hospice patients at home and in facilities.
- Caregiver relief is provided to caregivers to allow them to run errands, go to doctor appointments and go grocery shopping.
- Volunteers set their own hours and how often they volunteer.
Family Support – Helping to write memoirs, reading, shopping, foot massage, etc.
Griefbusters: Work with youth, age 3 – 17
Office and Thrift Store: Support office staff & fundraisers, and work in the store.
